Which tablet and app?
Stratux works with most major EFB apps on iPad, iPhone and Android. Garmin Pilot works on iPad and iPhone only. See EFB apps that work with Stratux and choosing a tablet.
Flying in Canada? 978 MHz UAT weather works where the volunteer CIFIB network has stations. See Stratux in Canada and outside the US.
